This mouthwash is pH balanced and oxygenated -
This helps to eliminate bad bacteria and reduce their reproduction. A balanced pH is useful to help the teeth repair themselves through the saliva in a process called remineralization.

The theory is that maintaining a healthy pH is important for fighting / preventing both toothy decay and gum disease. The 'bad' bacteria that cause these problems through the secretion of waste products and toxins directly onto your teeth and gum tissue like to have an acidic environment (think soda pop).

When acidity is high (a low pH) these bacteria can multiply more rapidly.

In addition, the bacteria like to have low oxygen conditions. Therefore, it is believed that by introducing more oxygen into their environment - as the chloroxy compound in this mouthwash is believed to do, you may be able to inhibit the bacterial growth further.

This mouthwash may be utilized with the Hydro Floss Oral Irrigator by adding 1 capful to the reservoir per use.

Purified Water, PerioO2 (Proprietary stablized Oxychlor compounds), Zinc Gluconate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Tea Tree Oil, Essential Oil of Spearmint, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Peg-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil.

I have only been using the Rinse for a few weeks but it seems to be working as advertised.  It is very easy to use in the Irrigator; just a capful. I like the idea of it going deep down in the pockets.
